Just a reminder to remember when you are grocery shopping, to pick up extra items if you can for the Lawrenceville Co-Op. These items can be placed in the big cabinet in the Narthex, where they will then be taken to the Co-Op in downtown Lawrenceville.
The mission of the Co-Op is “to seek to preserve our clients’ dignity while encouraging self-responsibility and spiritual growth. We strive to create a cooperative relationship between area agencies and churches and serve as a clearinghouse to screen needs and to make the most effective use of resources.”
“What We Do for Our Clients: We assist those in need by providing food, limited emergency financial assistance for utilities and prescription drugs. We also offer assistance by connecting those in need with various helping sources in the community. We seek to help clients identify ways to achieve self-sufficiency.”
Most Needed Items: canned meat, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter & jelly, dry cereals, oatmeal and grits, canned fruit, canned beans and dried beans, toilet paper. We typically have more than enough canned green beans. Thank you for helping others less fortunate than ourselves in Lawrenceville and the surrounding areas!
