What is Family Promise of Gwinnett County?
The Mission of Family Promise of Gwinnett County, Inc. is to bring existing local resources together to help homeless children and their families regain their housing and their independence, while maintaining their dignity. They mobilize congregations of faith, community volunteers, and social service agencies. Through intensive case management and counseling, they address the underlying causes of homelessness and work to end homelessness – one family at a time!
Fairview provides financial and volunteer support to the Family Promise of Gwinnett County organization and specifically helps Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church when they host families three or four weeks of the year. Our volunteers drive the truck to move beds and belongings from church to church, provide meals for guests, and host guests during the day and overnight at Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church or the Family Promise Day Center. at the Family Promise Day Center. For additional information on Family Promise, please see their website at Family Promise of Gwinnett.
